Former prime minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and several ministers have been kept at the army training center, Shivapuri for their safety.
A high-ranking army source stated that former PM Oli, Deputy PM and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh, DPM and Minister of Finance Bishnu Paudel, Dahal, Nepal, and all other ministers have been moved to the Army Command and Staff College in Shivapuri.
Oli confirmed this in a letter addressed to the Gen Z youth on Wednesday night. In the message, he stated that he is in a secluded and secure location in Shivapuri.
According to a source, the ministers were taken from the ministerial quarters in Bhainsepati while Dahal and Nepal were taken by helicopter from Singha Durbar to Shivapuri.
Dahal had called a meeting of opposition parties at Singha Durbar Tuesday afternoon which Nepal also attended. When news arrived that protestors had set fire to Dahala's house, the army took both of them to Shivapuri.
A statement was released a short while ago on behalf of Oli. The Chairman of Press Chautari Ganesh Pandey posted the statement on social media claiming it was issued by former PM Oli.
In the letter, addressed "Dear Gen Z kids," Oli revealed his location to be Shivapuri.
Oli resigned from his position as PM at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. Immediately after his resignation, the Nepal Army took him by a helicopter from Baluwatar to a safe location. The Nepali Army has moved Oli, President Ram Chandra Paudel, ministers, and other top leaders to safe locations.
