Due to the arson carried out by protestors throughout Tuesday, almost all government offices in Pokhara have been reduced to ashes.
Structures including the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Gandaki, nearly all ministries of the provincial government, the Pokhara High Court, the Kaski District Court, the Pokhara Metropolitan City office, the District Administration Office, and the District Police Office have been destroyed.
All documents and physical structures in the government offices have been burned and destroyed in the fires set by the protestors.
Rudra Devi Sharma, the chief district officer of Kaski, has issued a handwritten appeal urging the general public to remain calm.
She has also requested people not to leave their homes except for essential work, to avoid crowds, and to contact the security agencies if they see any suspicious or anarchic activities.
