Protestors entered the Budhanilkantha residence of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and manhandled the Deuba couple Tuesday afternoon.
They beat and dragged Deuba and his wife Arzu Rana Deuba before handing them over to the army and the Armed Police Force.
Protestors entered his residence, setting fire to and vandalizing the property. They beat and dragged the Deuba couple out of the house and into the courtyard. After that, they handed them over to the security persons deployed for their security.
Video clips of them being beaten and dragged have been made public on social media. In the video, Deuba is seen sitting in the middle of a lawn, surrounded by the security persons. Some protestors can also be heard verbally abusing him.
Similarly, in one clip, protestors are seen dragging Deuba. A protestor can also be heard saying, "Hand him over to the police."
