The army has been deployed in New Baneshwar to enforce the curfew order issued by the local administration.
Earlier, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, imposed a curfew in the Baneshwar after the protests led by Gen Z youths turned violent on Monday afternoon.
The army was deployed at the request of the local administration to enforce the curfew order.
Brigadier General Rajaram Basnet, spokesperson for the Nepal Army, said that a small platoon has been deployed to maintain peace and security.
The administration has imposed a curfew from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday.
Despite the curfew order, protests continue in Baneshwar.
Protestors have vandalized and set fire to the main gate of the Parliament building.
Those injured by police gunfire have been taken to Civil Hospital, Trauma Center, and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Six people have died during treatment after being shot during the protest.
