The CPN-UML has called a secretariat meeting for September 4.
The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. on September 4, according to Rajendra Gautam, head of the UML’s publicity department.
The secretariat meeting has been called to discuss and approve reports (political, organizational, statute amendment, and commission reports) to be presented at the statute convention.
Earlier, a central committee meeting scheduled for August 29 was postponed by the UML as Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Sharma Oli was set to visit China during that time.
UML has a tradition of approving documents through the central committee before a statute convention. Gautam said that a central committee meeting could also be held before the statute convention.
UML’s second statute convention will take place from September 5 to 7 at the Sunrise Hall in Godawari, Lalitpur.
