The Nepal Teachers' Federation (NTF) staged a sit-in at the central office of the CPN (Maoist Center) at Paris Danda in Kathmandu on Friday.
As part of the first phase of their protest program, teachers associated with the NTF staged a sit-in at the Maoist Center’s office from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and submitted a memorandum to draw attention to their demands.
Earlier, the NTF staged a sit-in at the Nepali Congress central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, on Wednesday, and at the CPN-UML headquarters in Chyasal on Thursday.
The School Education Bill has been passed by the parliamentary committee and presented to the House of Representatives along with its report.
Once passed by the House of Representatives, the bill will be sent to the National Assembly. After it is passed there, it will be sent to the president for authentication. Once signed by the president, the bill will become law.
