The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), led by Ashok Rai, and the Rastriya Mukti Party, led by Rajendra Mahato, have decided to form a functional alliance.
“It has been decided to form a functional alliance between the JSP and us,” Keshav Jha, general secretary of the Rastriya Mukti Party, told Setopati. “This functional alliance has been decided with the aim of unifying the parties in the near future.”
According to Jha, a press conference will be held in Kathmandu on Thursday at 3 p.m. to announce this decision.
Recently, seven Madhes-centric political parties formed the Federal Democratic Front. The two parties are also constituents of the front.
