Arrest warrant issued for Lumbini's Janamat Party lawmaker Rayamajhi

An arrest warrant has been issued for Suman Sharma Rayamajhi, a provincial assembly member from the Janamat Party in Lumbini.

Sources said that the Parsa District Court issued the arrest warrant for Rayamajhi on May 30. Ramayajhi was elected to the Lumbini provincial assembly from Bardiya under the proportional representation electoral system.

The arrest warrant was issued for her in a banking offense case.

According to Parsa Police sources, the warrant was issued in connection with a bounced check worth over Rs 300,000.

Parsa Police has already written to Bardiya Police to arrest her.

Her mobile phone is currently unreachable.
