The House of Representatives meeting has been adjourned until 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The meeting scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday was adjourned without convening, with a notice posted to that effect.
Opposition parties including the main opposition CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Swatantra Party, and CPN (Unified Socialist) have not allowed the House to function, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the visit visa scam.
However, the ruling Nepali Congress and CPN-UML argue that the home minister should be allowed to speak in the House.
The House of Representatives meeting was adjourned as the ruling and opposition parties have yet to reach a consensus on the issue.
