Hearing on Rabi Lamichhane's habeas corpus petition to continue Wednesday

Hearing on the habeas corpus writ petition filed on behalf of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane will continue on Wednesday.

The hearing is taking place before a bench of Supreme Court Justices Nahakul Subedi and Balkrishna Dhakal.

On Tuesday, senior advocates Sushil Panta, Surendra Thapa, Meghraj Pokharel, advocates Narayan Datta Kandel, Jitendra Jha, Rajendra Sedhain, and Sudikya Panta argued on behalf on Lamichhane.

Senior advocate Raman Shrestha also argued on Tuesday and is expected to conclude his argument on Wednesday.

After Lamichhane's lawyers conclude their arguments, lawyers representing former deputy inspector general Chhabi Lal Joshi will also present their case.

Different justices had recused themselves from the case as many as six times before it was heard by the bench of Justices Subedi and Dhakal on Tuesday.
