National Assembly passes policies and programs by majority

The National Assembly has passed the government's policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year by a majority.

National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal announced the passage of the policies and programs by a majority during Sunday’s meeting.

Amendment proposals presented by lawmakers on various points of the government's policies and programs were rejected by a majority.

Earlier, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli responded to questions regarding the government's policies and programs.

In his remarks, PM Oli said that the policies and programs were introduced with the objective of promoting good governance and accelerating the pace of development.

He expressed concern over the misuse of social media to advance anarchy in society as a form of political conduct and emphasized the need for vigilance against attacks on the system.

Earlier on Sunday, the House of Representatives passed the policies and programs by a majority.
