The government's policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year have been passed by a majority.
The policies and programs were presented for decision during the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday.
Earlier, lawmakers who had not yet spoken on the policies and programs expressed their views in the House meeting. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli then responded to lawmakers’ questions regarding the policies and programs.
Thereafter, Speaker Devraj Ghimire presented the amendments proposed to the policies and programs. After the amendments were rejected by a majority, the policies and programs were presented for a decision.
President Ram Chandra Paudel had presented the policies and programs during a joint session of both houses of the federal Parliament on May 2.
With the passage of the policies and programs, pre-budget discussions began in the House of Representatives from Sunday.
