It has emerged that Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), fell not at home but at the Terraces Resort & Spa located in Lankuri Bhajyang, Lalitpur, around midnight.
According to information received by Setopati, Dahal had arrived at the resort on Tuesday evening along with his daughter, son-in-law, and some close relatives to spend the night there.
A high-level source said that Dahal fell around midnight on Tuesday and was immediately taken to Mediciti Hospital.
"He was brought to Mediciti around 2 a.m. After minor treatment, he was discharged around 4:30 a.m.," the source said.
Hospital sources said that Dahal received three stitches on his head, and that his overall health condition is normal.
His daughter, Ganga Dahal, also posted on Facebook that Dahal suffered a minor external injury on his forehead after slipping in the bathroom. However, she did not mention where the incident occurred. As she only mentioned that he slipped in the bathroom, people assumed Dahal slipped at home.
"Last night, my father slipped in the bathroom and suffered a minor external injury on his forehead. After a routine check-up at the nearby Mediciti Hospital, he returned home and has resumed his regular duties. I would like to thank everyone who expressed concern and care for his health!" she wrote on the social media platform Facebook.
