Prakash Man Singh Raut unanimously endorsed as chief justice

Prakash Man Singh Raut has been endorsed for the post of Supreme Court chief justice.

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee unanimously endorsed Raut for appointment to the judiciary’s top post on Wednesday, according to committee member Ishwari Gharti.

Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, the committee had held a hearing on Raut, who was recommended for chief justice by the Constitutional Council.

The committee had received six complaints against Raut.
