Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has stated that the state should open fire against corruption.
Speaking in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday Sharma has said that the state should act tough against corruption. “The file of (fake) Bhutanese refugees has been opened now. This must be concluded,” he has stressed. “The state should not open just file but even fire against corruption.”
He has added that no innocents should be punished in the scam but the guilty ones should be punished stringently. He has stated that the state should not put any limits on acting tough against corruption.
The fake Bhutanese refugees scam has rocked the country’s politics. CPN-UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and son of UML Vice-chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa are absconding after issue of arrest warrants.
Names of Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former home minister Bal Krishna Khand, his wife and NC lawmaker Manju Khand and NC lawmaker Arzu Rana Deuba—wife of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba—have also been dragged in the scam.
