NC lawmaker KC demands all-powerful commission to probe fake Bhutanese refugees scam

Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Arjun Narsingh KC has demanded a powerful commission to investigate the fake Bhutanese refugees scam.

Speaking in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday KC has demanded a commission for fair investigation as even a former home minister has been implicated in the scam pointing that how sitting president and prime minister have been punished in different corruption cases in other countries.

He has stressed that implication of top officials in the scam to send Nepali citizens to America as fake Bhutanese refugees has embarrassed the whole country and demanded that the issue be concluded as soon as possible.

“Let’s conclude it in a fixed time by forming an impartial, transparent and independent all-powerful commission led by at least a former chief justice,” KC added.
