All the parties in the ruling coalition have agreed to table the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact in the House after a protracted dispute.
A CPN (Maoist Center) leader confirmed with Setopati that the second largest party in the coalition has agreed to allow tabling of the MCC Compact. "We alone cannot block it when all other patries in the coalition are ready. The coalition meeting may now take decision to table it," the leader stated.
A Nepali Congress (NC) leader close to Prime Minister (PM) Sher Bahadur Deuba also told Setopati that agreement will be reached Sunday to table the MCC Compact. "If there is somehow no agreement to table it, the coalition will end from that point," the leader stated adding that NC has already conveyed that message to the coalition leaders.
