The secretariat of Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has condemned the remarks of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSP) about him.
Issuing a press note, PM's Press Advisor Surya Thapa has called the party's comments vulgar and prejudiced, and very ill-intentioned and deplorable.
The meeting of JSP central executive committee from August 5-9 had concluded that PM Oli is very weak physically and mentally. "This level of comment by those who have repeatedly remained in responsible positions of the state, and even taken the responsibility of PM, especially those who wish to identify themselves as well-educated is actually profanity laden with frustrations and bankruptcy of thinking," Thapa has stated in the press note.
"There are disputes, differences and disagreements in politics, and that is considered normal. Where will one reach through exhibition of this level of bad culture? It would be appropriate for the persons and parties concerned to think about that."
He argued that those who cannot debate on principles, policies and programs resort to shutting their eyes and claiming darkness, and condemn the light. "As far as criticism, opposition and verbal abuse against PM KP Sharma Oli is concerned, this is not new. It is clear that those who see him as an obstacle to fulfilling their vested interests have been doing so," he has pointed. "Such elements have been consigned to history. It is well-known that nobody achieves success through steps taken under other's instruction, wrong policies, ideology and behavior."
He warned that those who stay in a glass house and pelt stones at others will themselves be unsafe and fall. He has stated that the insulting, unfounded, confusing and irresponsible language used against president, PM and responsible officials must be condemned even though political parties can criticize and oppose the government in a way that their positions and differences are clarified.
