CPN Chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal continued their discussion even on Friday.
The two leaders discussed how to operate the standing committee meeting scheduled to resume on Tuesday during the meeting that started at around 11 in the morning and lasted for almost two hours, according to a party source.
Prime Minister (PM) Oli met Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba before meeting Dahal. What Oli discussed with the main opposition leader has yet to be revealed. Oli and Deuba had met even on Thursday.
The ruling party is mired in internal dispute with the factions of Chairman Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal demanding that Oli should resign from one of the two positions stating that he has failed in proper operation of both the party and the government.
Oli, meanwhile, has offered to make Dahal sole chairman after an early general convention he has proposed for December in return for him continuing in the dual role now.
