CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has held meeting of standing committee members of his faction at his residence in Khumaltar Monday morning.
All standing committee members from the erstwhile Maoists are attending the meeting but Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Industry Minister Lekh Raj Bhatta are absent.
Dahal has called the meeting citing that the erstwhile Maoists seem to have scattered. "It seems some of the erstwhile Maoists are here and some there. Chairman has, therefore, invited everyone," a CPN source stated. "The discussion has been held to ensure there is unity at this time."
Some standing committee members from the erstwhile Maoists have grown close to Chairman and Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli and some believe that Oli and Dahal should stand together while a few are in support of the alliance between Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal.
