Government to focus on health sector in policies and programs

The government will present its policies and programs in the parliament on Friday. President Bidya Devi Bhandari will present the policies and programs in the federal parliament on behalf of the government at four in the afternoon.

The government will prioritize the health sector in the policies and programs to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The government has prepared programs to procure necessary equipment for health institutions, and to build up hospital capacity.

The government will also focus on creating jobs and agriculture. It is preparing programs to create jobs for Nepalis returning from abroad and workers of the trekking sector. It will also announce agricultural loans and programs for procuring unsold produce of farmers.

It will also bring programs for revival of the tourism sector hit hardest by the pandemic. It will propose a year for domestic tourism to revive the sector.

It will also announce programs for expansion of irrigation facilities and boost use of energy.
