Politburo member of Chand-led CPN Anil Sharma arrested

Politburo member of the Netra Bikram Chand led CPN Anil Sharma has been arrested. Sharma was arrested from Chitwan on Tuesday, according to a Home Ministry source.

Chitwan Police arrested him from a medical college where he had gone for treatment. Chief of Chitwan Police SP Nanti Raj Gurung told Setopati that Sharma had registered himself as Ramesh Rimal for treatment. "We arrested him immediately after knowing that he has come for treatment," Gurung said.

He added that additional investigation is being done.
