Radio Nepal board member Pathak arrested for disparaging Dahal

Board member of Radio Nepal and journalist Dipak Pathak has been arrested for making disparaging remarks about CPN Chairman and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Facebook.

He has been arrested from Jadibuti, Kathmandu Thursday morning, according to SSP with the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police Nabind Aryal. "We have arrested him under the Electronic Transaction Act," Aryal said.

He had made disparaging posts on Facebook, according to the police. "We had received complaint against him. We have, therefore, arrested him with permission from the court," Aryal added.

He said additional investigation is being done against him.
