Prime Minister (PM) and CPN Chairman KP Sharma Oli will continue meeting with party lawmakers even on Wednesday.
A source close to Oli confirmed with Setopati that Oli will hold meeting with lawmakers close to him at his official residence, Baluwatar today. Oli had held discussion with lawmakers even on Monday and Tuesday.
He had met lawmakers Mahesh Basnet, Niru Devi Pal, Bijay Subba and others on Monday, and Khaga Raj Adhikari, Surya Pathak and others on Tuesday.
He has been telling the lawmakers to be ready to face any eventuality.
Internal dynamics in the ruling party is very fluid in recent times with CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal allying to oust Oli from Baluwatar.
A majority of standing committee members have urged the two chairman to convene standing committee meeting to review the government's performance.
Oli is trying to win over disgruntled lawmakers from Dahal-Nepal faction to forge a majority in the parliamentary party, according to a leader close to Oli.
The party has called a secretariat meeting for Wednesday evening and leaders of both the factions are holding discussions to formulate strategy for the secretariat meeting.
