Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has gone to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Shital Niwas after the CPN secretariat meeting Monday night.
PM Oli has gone to Shital Niwas a little while ago after the secretariat meeting, according to his press advisor Surya Thapa.
President Bhandari earlier in the evening authenticated the two ordinances passed by the Cabinet meeting in the afternoon.
President Bhandari authenticated the ordinances about splitting party and quorum in the Constitutional Council in the evening just hours after the Cabinet meeting passed the ordinances.
The Cabinet meeting at Baluwatar Monday passed an ordinance allowing splitting of a party with support of 40 percent in either the parliamentary party or the central committee. The act about political parties requires support of 40 percent in both the parliamentary party and the central committee to split any political party.
The ruling party's secretariat meeting was convened over the ordinance about splitting parties. PM Oli passed the ordinance making it easier for him to split ruling CPN if needed suspecting that he may be removed.
