Dahal invites ministers from erstwhile Maoist Center to Khumaltar

CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has invited all the ministers from the erstwhile CPN (Maoist Center) to Khumaltar Monday afternoon.

The ministers from the erstwhile Maoist party have reached Khumaltar after gathering at the Energy Ministry.

The Cabinet meeting at Baluwatar Monday has taken a decision to pass an ordinance allowing splitting of a party with support of 40 percent in either the parliamentary party or the central committee. The act about political parties requires support of 40 percent in both the parliamentary party and the central committee to split any political party.

Only Energy Minister Barsha Man Pun from the erstwhile Maoists opined that the decision was not appropriate during the Cabinet meeting.

"Dahal has invited all the ministers to his residence. They may take a decision to resign from the Cabinet," a Khumaltar source told Setopati.
