Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Gagan Thapa has written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli 11 questions related to the latter's address to the nation on Tuesday.
"Dear PM, your address and question-answer with the lawmakers would have happened inside the House if it were in operation," Thapa has said in the letter. "We are forced to communicate in this manner as that is not possible. I have a few questions regarding your address. I urge for additional clarity on some through this letter."
He has pointed that the government's preparations to fight against COVID-19 are feeble and added that the testing kits are sub-standard. "What is the state of human resources necessary for tests, training and safety?"
He has also stated that Nepalis in Dharchula across the Mahakali river from Darchula are unsafe and urged the government to let them in and keep them in quarantine.
He has asked PM Oli why he urged the people to choose one out of life or personal freedom during the address. "Can we imagine a life without personal freedom? You will surely clarify about that."
