PM Oli to address nation Tuesday

Kathmandu, April 7

Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli will address the nation on Tuesday.

PM Oli's press advisor Surya Thapa has tweeted that PM Oli will address the nation at 11 in the morning.

PM Oli has not been heard since he announced shut down of long-distance domestic transportation and urged people to remain in home almost three weeks back.

The government has been widely criticized for its flat-footed response to the COVID-19 pandemic especially the farcical handling of procurement of medical supplies with even leaders from the ruling CPN demanding investigation on irregularities in the procurement process.

PM Oli is expected to clarify about the government efforts to fight the pandemic during his address.
