Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has given the 'People's War' Day celebrations by ruling CPN a miss.
The party had issued a notice stating that both the chairmen, Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal will attend the program to be organized at the party office in Dhumbarahi but Oli has not turned up at Dhumbarahi on Thursday.
Dahal party Vice-chairman Bam Dev Gautam, General Secretary Bishnu Paudel and other leaders attended the program.
The then Maoists used to celebrate the day they started the war in 1996 as 'People's War' Day. Ruling CPN formed after unification of the then CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) last year had marked the day as Janaandolan and 'People's War' Day. But Oli had not attended the program even then.
