The ruling CPN has called secretariat meeting on Friday after the meeting between Chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday.
Secretariat meeting was last held on June 6 before Prime Minister (PM) Oli left for Europe visit. The meeting had ended after the leaders could not agree about handing over responsibilities for different departments.
Leaders had said there was an understanding to conclude everything in a package after Oli returns from Europe.
PM Oli was focused on the controversial guthi bill after his return on Sunday and he had not even held a meeting with Dahal in the intervening days. The two leaders talked at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar for around two and half hours on Wednesday after the government withdrew the bill on Tuesday.
A party source said the meeting between the chairmen has also decided to finalize the party's political report and publish it.
The report drafted by a committee led by senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal was submitted to the secretariat a few months back but it has yet to be published. The report was not published due to differences among the leaders about the party's policies.
