Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said glorification of party's history does not ensure its image nor can secure public trust.
"If the party fails to run as per its statute and does not settle internal dispute, it is unable to earn people's trust," he warned, urging party leadership to make correction accordingly.
Speaking at a cadres' meet organized at Birendranagar on Sunday, Singh, who is also the former general secretary of the party, further said reform in the party was essential.
According to him, it is the NC to protect and implement the constitution because it is the party that took a lead to bring the new constitution.
Moreover, Singh commented that there was no atmosphere conducive even for the Chief Minister to carry out his/her duty.
He accused the present government of not acting for the implementation of constitution and federalism.
Also speaking on the occasion were central members Hridayaram Thani and Khadga Bahadur Basyal, district president of the party, Kamal Raj Regmi.
