CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that Netra Bikram Chand will also one day join the ruling party.
"Chand will also have to come here and join us," Dahal stated pointing that the path Chand is treading does not lead to the destination. Addressing the program organized to welcome politburo member of the Chand's party Padam Rai into the ruling CPN, Dahal argued that the current situation is different from what it was when he led an armed insurgency, and claimed that people can be benefited through the new model of socialist movement.
He stressed that there should be only one communist party in the country.
He assured that Rai would be given appropriate responsibilities considering that he was Constituent Assembly member and state minister in the past.
Rai stated that he did not want to remain in Chand's party after it started violent activities. He added that he has returned to the main party as conflict will eventually hurt the country and people even if it may benefit a party to the conflict.
He claimed that he has not changed the party due to any fear or threat, and added that he is careful that the party is not harmed due to him.
