Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has invited his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to visit Nepal.
Oli extended the invitation during their meeting at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi Friday morning. "The two leaders underlined the importance of regular exchange of high-level visits between the two countries in order to further strengthen bilateral ties and advance cooperation in all possible areas for the mutual benefits of the two countries," the Nepali Embassy in India said issuing a press statement.
Modi visited Nepal four times during his first term as PM.
PM Oli also conveyed the invitation extended by President Bidya Devi Bhadari to her Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind to visit Nepal.
Modi was sworn in for the second term as Indian PM Thursday evening. Oli had reached New Delhi Thursday afternoon to participate in the swearing-in ceremony.
