CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said no bill submitted to the parliament will be withdrawn amidst warnings by the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) to obstruct the House if the bills about media and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) are not withdrawn.
He stressed that all the bills submitted to the House will be passed as per parliamentary practice. He, however, added that the ruling party is ready to make necessary amendments.
Addressing a program in Kathmandu to mark the death anniversary of Krishna Sen on Monday, he pointed that parliament is the place to discuss about any bill and stated that the bills will be passed after comprehensive discussions there.
Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Baskota addressing the program claimed that no bill submitted to the parliament has been brought violating the Constitution and international norms and values.
He accused those opposing the media bill have been mobilized by NGOs and INGOs.
