Death toll in the two separate bomb explosions in Sukedhara and Ghattekulo of Kathmandu Sunday afternoon has reached four.
The death toll reached four after a person injured in Sukedhara blast breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital in the night.
One person each had died on the spot at both Sukedhara and Ghattekulo while one person injured in Sukedhara died at the hospital a little later.
The person killed in the bomb explosion in Ghattekulo has been identified as Prajwal Shahi. Shahi, who was killed in the explosion at Lok Manjari Karki's house in Ghattekulo, was close to CPN led by Netra Bikram Chand, according to police.
Rabin KC, chairman of Trichandra College unit of the student union close to Chand-led CPN was injured in the explosion. The police recovered pamphlets of the party inside the room of explosion
Meanwhile, one of the two persons killed in Sukedhara bomb explosion has been identified. Jeev Kumar Thakur, 59, of Mahottari, who was operating a salon at Sukedhara, was killed on the spot. Another person, who breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital, has yet to be identified.
Pamphlets of the Chand-led party were recovered even from the salon but whether Thakur was involved with the party or not has yet to be known. "We are investigating how the bomb reached there if Thakur was not with the party," a police officer told Setopati.
