The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has invited complaints against five persons recommended as Supreme Court (SC) justices.
The committee's meeting at the Singha Durbar on Thursday has taken a decision to that regard, according to Chairman of the committee Laxman Lal Karna.
The Judicial Council on Tuesday had recommended Chief Justice of Patan High Court Prakash Dhungana and that of Surkhet High Court Sushma Lata Mathema, and senior advocate Kumar Regmi, and advocates Hari Phuyal and Manoj Kumar Sharma for SC.
The committee will investigate on the received complaints for 10 days and conduct hearing of the recommended persons. They will be appointed SC justices if they get endorsed by the committee.
