India has said it is ready to provide relief assistance for the storm victims in Bara and Parsa districts.
Issuing a press statement two days after the storm, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said India is deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and damage to property in the storm. "Our Embassy in Kathmandu and Consulate in Birgunj are in touch with the concerned authorities. Government of India is ready to provide relief assistance as may be required by Nepal," the statement issued by the MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on Tuesday reads.
A total of 28 persons, including four Indian nationals, were killed and hundreds injured in Bara and Parsa districts due to the storm Sunday night.
