Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has appeared in a public program for the first time in a long time after remaining indoors on advice of doctors.
PM Oli attended a program to launch a book in memory of Prakash Dahal, son of another chairman of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, on the occasion of his first death anniversary.
PM Oli also addressed the program organized at Dahal's residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur for a few minutes. He said the untimely death of Prakash Dahal always pains him. "The family feels pain and memories of Prakash linger on. But you all must move your life forward exercising patience," he stated during the program.
PM Oli, who had fallen ill toward the end of Dashain, was admitted at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center inside the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) premises on October 29 following chest infection and high blood glucose level.
He was treated there for five days and discharged on November 3. The doctors had advised him to work from his official residence in Baluwatar and not attend public functions for some days.
