NC's Bhushal files candidacy for deputy speaker

Nepali Congress (NC) has picked central member Pushpa Bhushal as its candidate for deputy speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR). Bhushal has registered her candidacy at the Parliament House in Baneshwor. The parliament secretariat has scheduled voting for the post on Friday. Bhushal is a legal practitioner and also has a Master's degree in political science. NC leaders have been opining that the left alliance should not pick any candidate as there is a provision that requires speaker and deputy speaker to be from different parties.
