Following the flood in Rasuwa, 384 tourists in and around the Rasuwa area have failed to come into contact.
According to Hikmat Singh Air, acting chief executive officer of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the tourists are currently out of contact. Search and rescue operations are underway.
A large number of both domestic and foreign tourists typically visit various tourist destinations in Rasuwa.
The NTB said that it has collected details of the tourists from various travel agencies. According to the board's preliminary data, 291 foreign tourists and 93 domestic tourists remain unreachable.
Meanwhile, the Nepal Army has carried out aerial rescue operations for 88 people affected by the flood in Rasuwa.
The army rescued people who were stranded or injured in the flood in the Rasuwa and Nuwakot areas.
“We have carried out aerial rescues for 88 people,” the Nepal Army said in a message sent to the media.
The army has been conducting aerial rescue operations in the flood-affected areas since Wednesday morning. It has also been operating an emergency medical treatment service in Battar, Nuwakot.
In addition, the army has been transporting food and clothing from Kathmandu for people affected by the flood.
