CAAN Director General Pradeep Adhikari arrested

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two individuals, including Pradeep Adhikari, the director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

The CIAA has taken the two individuals into custody and presented them before the Special Court to file a case against them.

According to Krishna Sharan Lamichhane, deputy registrar of the Special Court, a corruption case has been filed against six individuals.

"Two individuals have been arrested. The others are absconding. A corruption case has been filed. The case has been brought against six individuals and one institution," he said.

The other person arrested is Murari Bhandari, the then-director of CAAN.
