Worker injured after falling while repairing roof of Parliament canteen

A worker was injured after he fell while repairing the false ceiling of the canteen at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar of Kathmandu on Sunday afternoon.

An eyewitness said that the injured worker was taken to Civil Hospital in the vehicle of lawmaker Tejulal Chaudhary for treatment.

Canteen manager Netra Shahi said that repair work was being carried out at the canteen as water was leaking from its roof.

According to Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the injured worker is 28-year-old Dipesh Tamang from Dhulikhel, Kavre.

SP Bohara said that Tamang sustained injuries to his chest, head, left arm, and left part of his body.

Tamang fell from a height of 20 feet.
