Eight people stranded on Phewa Lake in Pokhara after a storm have been rescued.
A sudden storm hit Phewa Lake on Monday afternoon, leaving those in boats and kayaks stranded on the lake.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Thapa, joint spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, confirmed the rescue of eight stranded individuals.
Resham Thapa, 21, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-5, Chitwan, had drowned in Phewa Lake while boating. He was rescued by a disaster response team, including divers, from the Armed Police Force Nepal Phewa Lake Rescue Tower.
Seven others, including one person in a kayak and six others in a boat, were stranded due to the storm. They were also safely rescued.
