Three killed in landslide in Kaski

Pokhara, July 17

Three persons have been killed in a landslide at Machhapuchchhre rural municipality 8 of Kaski Friday morning.

The landslide that swept away the house of Prem Raj BK at Khorakomukh at around 5.45 am killed his two grandsons (Kushal, 15, and Samir, 14) and a granddaughter Rejina, 16), informed ward chair Krishna Prasad Dawadi.

The rubble that came down from around 200 meters above swept away the house made up of stone and mud.

Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) of District Police Office Subas Hamal said a team comprising Chief District Officer Gyan Prasad Dhakal and Police Chief Jeevan Ram Shrestha has already reached the site.

The village is around 20-kilometers north-east from Pokhara.
