Nepal has reported second COVID-19 death on Sunday with a 25-year old man who died while quarantined in Banke testing positive.
Social Development Minister of Province 5 Sudarshan Baral told Setopati that test at Bheri Hopital showed the youth who died Sunday morning was infected.
Province 5 Police Chief DIG Rabindra Dhanuk corroborated that. "I have been informed that he tested positive and I have already instructed the relevant bodies to carry out cremation completing legal procedures," DIG Dhanuk told Setopati.
This is the second COVID-19 death in Nepal. The government on Saturday had confirmed that the 29-year-old woman from Ramche in Bahrabise municipality, Sindhupalchowk died of COVID-19.
The woman was brought to the Dhulikhel Hospital after respiratory problems. The hospital says she breathed her last while being taken to the emergency ward. She was brought to the hospital on Thursday.
She had a delivery at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) nine days ago and returned home. She was taken to Dhulikhel after suffering respiratory problems at home.
