Two youths of Kavre, who had returned recently from abroad, have tested positive in rapid diagnostic tests (RDT).
A 28-year-old man of Bethanckowk rural municipality, who had returned from Goa, India on March 21, has tested positive, according to chairman of ward No 5 Khajanchi Bahadur Lama. The youth has been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital for additional tests.
He had come with two friends both of whom have tested negative. Lama added that the youth's family members are also being tested.
A 21-year-old man of Mandandeupur municipality, who had returned from Dubai on March 20, has also been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital after rapid test returned inconclusive result. "His result was not conclusive. There was suspicion of being positive. We have, therefore, sent him to Dhulikhel for additional tests," chairman of ward No 3 Dil Bahadur Tamang told Setopati.
The youth had stayed at home for two days after returning from Dubai. He was then quarantined by the municipality. Preparations are on to test his family members as well.
