Doctors have said former finance minister and CPN leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari is in a critical condition.
Organizing a press conference Saturday afternoon, doctors at HAMS Hospital, where the ailing leader is undergoing treatment for the pas three weeks, said his health has deteriorated massively in the past 24 hours and his vital organs have stopped working. "There are problems in his lungs and heart. The situation has worsened in the past few days," Dr Hem Raj Paneru said with Adhikari's relatives by his side.
"He has not made urine in the past 24 hours. We are trying our best. But there seems to be little chance of saving him," Dr Paneru added.
The hospital said it will hold another press conference to update about his health. "He is still alive. We will again hold press conference to brief about his health," he stated.
