Bhishma Raj Angdembe has been selected as the parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress.
According to the party’s election committee chief and joint general secretary Prakash Rasaili, a meeting held on Monday at the parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar, attended by party lawmakers, unanimously chose Angdembe as the parliamentary party leader.
The 61-year-old Angdembe from Panchthar was elected as a lawmaker under the proportional representation system. He is a former joint general secretary of the party.
Party President Gagan Thapa handed over the certificate of parliamentary party leader to Angdembe.
