A 24 percent voter turnout has been recorded so far for the ongoing nationwide House of Representatives election.
According to the Nepal Police Central Election Cell, 24.78 percent votes were cast as of 1 p.m. on Thursday.
The highest turnout has been recorded in Gandaki province, where 32.69 percent votes have been cast so far. This is followed by Bagmati province at 29.40 percent.
In the Kathmandu Valley, the turnout stands at 25.55 percent.
The Election Cell reported 23.15 percent voter turnout in Koshi province, 16.15 percent in Madhesh province, 25.4 percent in Lumbini province, 24.38 percent in Karnali province, and 29.66 percent in Sudur Paschim province.
There are a total of 18,903,689 voters registered for the ongoing election. Among them, 4,685,211 have cast their ballots as of 1 p.m.
