Senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balen Shah has started the election campaign to become the next prime minister from Janakpur on Monday.
Addressing an election rally a day after resigning as mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Shah has also expressed his commitment to federalism.
Speaking in Maithili language, he has stated that one should go to Kathmandu for tourism, not to demand rights.
He has emphasized that the provincial government should be made strong so that people do not have to rush to Kathmandu for their rights.
Similarly, he has mentioned that he came to deliver a speech since he is now free after resigning as mayor implying that he was busy working for four years.
